The VISCO children's mattress with dimensions of 80x160 cm belongs to the mattresses that offer the choice between sides of the mattress depending on which side is more comfortable for the child. One side is made of PUR foam and the other side consists of a 3 cm thin layer of memory foam. Older children will appreciate the mattress for everyday sleeping, but younger children can also use it for occasional sleeping.

Under the removable cover of the VISCO children's mattress lies the core of the mattress, which consists of two layers of different materials. Each material has its unique properties, ensuring a quality and healthy sleep for children.

1st layer of the mattress - polyurethane foam (PUR)

High-quality polyurethane foam is the softer side of the mattress. The foam is uniformly firm and elastic across its entire surface. On the mattress firmness scale, it is medium-firm (3 out of 1-5). This firmness meets the requirements for children's mattresses for everyday sleeping.

2nd layer of the mattress - memory foam VISCO

You might know memory foam as lazy foam or viscoelastic foam. The unique property of lazy foam is its ability to immediately adapt to the body of the person lying on it and return to its original state as soon as they get up. This type of foam is recommended more for adults or people with health issues.

However, sleeping on this side is more suitable for older children (around 12 years old). The height of the memory foam layer is 2-3 cm, which meets the recommended maximum for older children. As long as children are still growing, they need to sleep first on the side with PUR foam, which maintains its shape and does not change. Sleeping on the memory foam layer is therefore more suitable for smaller children occasionally or once they grow older.

It is up to the children which side of the mattress they prefer to use. To ensure the mattress has the longest possible lifespan, don't forget to get a mattress protector.
